In Cats Cradle I think Vonneguts own perceived purpose as a writer bleed through to the pages more than in his other novels. I mean I guess its kinda funny but not like Im laughing or anything. It requires a lot of understanding of symbolism and good connection skills.

This book was recommended in my opinion by my own sister the lady knew I would really prefer because its is a épigramme science fictional works and it is different than other catalogs. However as the narrators mind changes about whether hes going to actually write this book or not the story itself changes.
The payoff is usually in terms of world-building but Cats Cradles world is ridiculous and constantly absurd emphasizing its bizarreness.
