Siamese Cat Eyes Always Dilated
Cats eyes will always dilate periodically.
Siamese cat eyes always dilated. Usually when Lucys eyes are dilated where they look almost completely black. The pupil constricts or dilates enlarges according to the amount of light that enters the eyes with both pupils normally dilating in dim light and constricting in bright light. Siamese cats have a genetic flaw that causes a lack of eye pigments.
Cat vision is designed to detect motion which gives them an incredible advantage while hunting. Although hes white with an orange tail I think he might be part siamese because hes got blue eyes that look red when light shines on them. They open and close much faster than a round pupil which allows for.
But he seems healthy and has tons of energy. Cats eyes should remain in a neutral state for the majority of the day. A dilated pupil in the affected eye is one of the most common symptoms along with changes to the iris color dark spots.
Those cats will show noticeably greater pupil dilation either because their pupils are always somewhat wider or because their pupils once dilated are slow to revert to normal size. A cats eyes being dilated can be a sign of illness elsewhere in their bodies. They will go back to normal only for a few seconds then they fully dilate.
As a result this breed may have trouble with night vision. Dilation of the eyes should be an exception not the general rule. Just the pupils lol.
But occasional dilation can be caused by contentment excitement and most often the level of light in her surroundings. When she walks around she acts like she is scared to death of everything. I recently adopted a 5 month old kitten from a shelter.
